Stellenbosch Ridge Reserve 94 Points

Here is an impressive and outstanding Bordeaux style blends, hard not to fall in love with!
Judicious blends of 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot, 16% Malbec and 5% Petit Verdot, revealing a fragrant, captivating and seductive profile, very left bank like, it is serious with profound layers, carrying it’s 15% abv effortlessly, in fact the integration is quite similar to top Amarone or full bodied Napa Valley Cabernet or Cabernet blend, unnoticeable and not warm either on texture this is hard to achieve, another tour de force by winemaker Coenie Snyman (also Rust en Vrede) for crafting a perfectly unshowy polished wine, on the texture this could be confused to a top vintage of Kanonkop Paul Sauer, or equally any elegant St Julien, lively freshness, there is brightness in this wine, which is a rare occurance in majority of local Bordeaux style blends, irrespective of it’s fullness by means of alcohol rather than extract, polished, plush tannin, yet crunchy firmness, juicy and savoury, spicy tail, textured, it is nevertheless super food friendly.
Exceptionally well priced, way over delivers on it’s price point! Buy by the case loads.
The PERFECT wine for anyone living life in the fast lane . Pure hedonism.
